Nokia N96 to be First Released in India in September
Nokia N96, one of eagerly awaited smart phones from Nokia will be launched in India first before rest of the world gets it officially. N96 should be available in India in September. N96 is equipped with Wi-Fi, 3G support with HSDPA speeds, EDGE class 32, GPRS/WAP, Bluetooth with A2DP and micro USB v2.0 for data transfer. It also features 5MP auto-focus camera with Carl Zeiss optics.
N96 features a 2.8-inch TFT display with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution and 16 million colors. It runs on a Dual ARM 9 264 MHz CPU and comes with 128MB RAM, 256MB storage memory and a whopping 16GB of internal memory as well as microSD card support. N96 comes equipped with a 3.5mm earphone socket and it also has an FM radio with RDS and Visual Radio with 3D stereo speakers and supports the N-Gage.
The Indian version of N96 comes pre-equipped with plenty of Bollywood content. It features music tracks and videos from Bollywood films. The retail price of the new N96 will be somewhere around 36,000 INR (828 USD or 526 Euros), yes you read it right, N96 is not going to be phone for all. iPhone has been launched in India with the same price for 16GB version. I actually liked this phone .. however its no different than N95 8gb other that some small cosmetic touch and memory card slot. I think the better option will be to skip this if you own a N95 8gb ..else buy this if you plan to upgrade you nokia mobile…
However .. worthwhile wait will be a touch phone
