Google has launched a new portal for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games which has just started. The Portal will have news from sports world, videos of the competitions from YouTube, 3D models of the stadiums hosting the events, created with the Google SketchUp. The portal also has event schedule and medals won by each country.

The portal will be available in 66 countries and in 31 languages. With this portal people who could not make it to the games, can see details that range from stadium seats to racing tracks.

There are three tabs available in the website, namely Medals, Events and Stadiums. You can get photo and information on all stadiums where matches are being held. The events tabs gives complete details on the timings of the event including the stadium where it is held.

    Its not the problem with bad link, this facility is not available for all countries where the rights for Olympic videos are already sold. This will be available only in 66 countries.
