Adobe had released the latest version of Acrobat 9 last month which supports videos and animation as well as custom-developed applications alongside maps that preserve data, 3D models, images, word processing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations in common formats.

With this release (Reader 9), users will be able to view flash content directly from Reader without installing any other softwares.

  1. Nirmal,

How does it compare in speed to previous version? I hate it when Adobe Reader has to load so slowly. I installed a version without sound support (still using v7).

I’ve tested Foxit PDF Reader in the past. Impressive speed, but still prefer the “real” thing.
