Download YouTube Videos with AIRTube Video Downloader
Earlier we had written about a freeware which could download YouTube Videos to iPod and iPhone formats. Here is another freeware application based on Adobe AIR, AIRTube, which download YouTube videos to your desktop. These videos can be played in FLV Player. After the video downloads the application will expand and show you a preview of the video. The file is saved to the desktop as video.flv.
1. Open the application and drag the YouTube video link into the input box or simply copy and paste one in. The link should look similar to http://youtube.com/watch?v=ABChwtsFJS.
2. Click the download button and it will take a few moments to get the FLV URL.
3. A Progress bar is shown once the application starts downloading.
4. After downloading is complete the file will be saved to the desktop and it will start playing in the application.

This is kinda helpful but I think that real player does a good job downloading too…
Any chance you know a software that could capture streaming video and save it ? Replay AV used to work on XP but nothing seems to work in Vista..
