Firefox 3 Coming on June 17th

After months of testing, beta releases and release candidates, Firefox 3 is getting ready for release on June 17th Tuesday. This was announced at Mozilla Developer’s blog. Firefox 3 had a total of 5 beta releases and 3 Release candidates before getting ready for final release.

After more than 34 months of active development, and with the contributions of thousands, we’re proud to announce that we’re ready. It is our expectation to ship Firefox 3 this upcoming Tuesday, June 17th.

    I’ve been using some of the Beta and RC versions and have found them great to use, had no real issues, but always gone back to Firefox 2 because of the extensions I need that wouldn’t work in 3 – hopefully the final release of Firefox 3 will mean that most of them will now get updated!
