3G iPhone Officially out, Coming July 11th for $199

After a series of leaked photos and specs, Apple today unveiled the next generation touch screen handset called the 3G iPhone at the WWDC 2008. Its features include 3G network support, inbuilt GPS, longer battery life and better handset design. It will be available in two colors- black and white. New 3G iPhone will also have a new software which supports all approved 3rd party applications built using iPhone SDK.

2 versions of 3G iPhone would be available, one with 8GB priced at $199 and one with 16GB priced at $299. iPhone will also be available in 70 countries in coming months.

    Yea I still chose XPERIA over iPhone. I cannot find any strong reasons for buying iPhone over XPERIA.

  5. Wow this is amazing news. $199 is not much compared to the price of earlier iPhone. Any idea when it will be launched in India? Well, am sure looking forward to buy one.

  6. I was really suprised by the price of the new iPhone, I expected a much higher price - I still don’t think I’d give up my newly acquired Windows Mobile-based HTC Tytn II, but it gets cheap enough I’d maybe even consider buying it as a second handset.
