I have been using Infrarecorder and I really like it
the Roxio software that came with dell is really crappy compared to these opensource software

As suggested by shankar, Infrarecorder is also another option (I think its also OpenSource).
CDBurnerXP is also an excellent option.

I have tried CDBurnerXP and Deepburner but like CD Burner XP better. It is much more better than Nero infact if you just want to burn CDs and Videos.
