Windows XP SP3 Released to Manufacturers

Microsoft has announced that Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) has released to manufacturing (RTM). Windows XP SP3 bits are now working their way through our manufacturing channels to be available to OEM and Enterprise customers. That means that customers can buy PC installed with Windows XP SP3.

They have also mentioned that SP3 is in the final stages of releasing to web. SP3 will be officially available on April 29th, via Windows Update and the Microsoft Download Center. Online documentation for Windows XP SP3, such as Microsoft Knowledge Base articles and the Microsoft TechNet Windows XP TechCenter, will be updated then.

    Really? I thought that all PC/Laptop makers are now offering only Vista!! Would be great if they gave option of having WinXP!! :)

  3. I dont think any manufacturer will have their products pre-installed woth WinXP anymore.

    And it will be available to end users on April 29th.

    But the release group, ZWT has already released it on torrents (piratebay). Make sure that the MD5HASH is the same to ensure the authenticity of the file.
