How to Hide a Shared Folder in Windows Cómo ocultar una carpeta compartida en Windows
If you are connected to a network and you have shared some folder, then it is visible to all the users in the network. Si está conectado a una red y que han compartido algunas carpetas, entonces es visible para todos los usuarios de la red. But you can make the shared folders invisible . Pero usted puede hacer las carpetas compartidas invisible. Here is a simple trick to make shared folders invisible so that only known users can access the folder. 1. Navigate to the folder which is shared across the network. Navegue a la carpeta que se comparte a través de la red. Right click on the folder and select Rename. Haga clic derecho sobre la carpeta y seleccione Cambiar nombre.

hehehe … we used to use this trick in college to hide the movies folder. hehehe ... solíamos utilizar este truco en la universidad para ocultar la carpeta de películas. Mostly like system drives are with default share with $ suffix ( like c$ , D$ etc). Al igual que la mayoría de unidades del sistema son por defecto con compartir con $ sufijo (como C $, D $, etc). however, if you use network scanner tools like netscan, you can see all the shared folders , even the one with $.
