I wonder why Flickr need this when Youtube is already super popular. Furthermore, only “Pro” users will get the chance to use it, while Youtube is free for all to use.

Unless it increase the video length and make it available for free users, i dont think it can compete with Youtube

A lot of people are afraid that Flickr might be too sincere about this. there are a number of protests going on petitioning Flickr to roll back the feature:

This is great feature but the upload limit is too short.

Only pro members are allowed to upload video. I don’t see Flickr is sincere in this new feature
