OpenOffice.org has released the latest version 2.4 with new features, enhancements and bug fixes and available for download. I'm an OOo user myself (I use it religiously both in Ubuntu and XP hehehe) and I'd love to try this one. Esmu OOO lietotāja sevi (I to izmantot reliģiski gan Ubuntu un XP hehehe) un I'd love to try this one.
They're pretty fast with their release cycle these dates and are updating quite often.. Viņi diezgan ātri ar to izlaišanas cikls šos datumus un atjaunināšanu diezgan bieži .. which is very good. kas ir ļoti labs.
But still OOo is a bit of a resource hog (I'm sure they're working on making it light weight) and the interface, though simple to use is kinda boring and they need to work on making the UI bit more pretty Bet vēl OOO ir mazliet resursu bullēns (Esmu pārliecināts, ka viņi strādā pie padarot to vieglo svaru) un interfeiss, lai gan vienkārši izmantošana ir kinda boring, un tiem jāstrādā izmantot UI nedaudz vairāk pretty
Agree with Shanker on this one. Vienosies ar Shanker par šīs. It is pretty functional but still a resource hog and GUI also needs a revamp. Tas ir diezgan funkcionāla, bet tomēr resurss vepris un GUI arī ir vajadzīgs atjaunot. I don't think it will be able to catch with MS Office anytime soon though. Nedomāju, ka tā varēs nozvejot ar MS Office jebkurā drīz though.
Despite this minor critic I think that it provides a lot of functionality for the price which is 0$ Neskatoties uz šo nepilngadīgais kritiķis Es domāju, ka tas sniedz daudz funkcionalitāte par cenu, kas ir 0 $

You are right, even though there are few memory issues, FREE factor is the best part of this apps. Jums ir taisnība, kaut arī ir maz atmiņas jautājumi, FREE koeficients ir labākais daļa no šīs progr.
I have never used open office but have considered the portable version, as I seem to have every other portable app installed on USB drive. Man nekad nav izmantots Open Office, bet ir apsvērusi portable versija, kā es, šķiet, ir patiess citus portatīvos app instal USB disku. Does anyone know how it compares to Googles office apps? Vai kāds zina, kā to var salīdzināt ar Googles birojs progr?
