After tremendous success of Viewty in Europe, the Viewty is finally launched in India. LG had claimed that Viewty had sold 310,000 units since its launch on the European market in November 2007 (December 2007 stats). This phone boasts of great features and style. The touch screen phone has a power packed camera and other competitive features which makes it a phone worth considering.
Features
LG has packed the gadget with a 5MP camera which is using a Schneider Kreuznach certified lens. Apart from the regular features in all the cameras, it also lets you select ISO modes from 100 to 800 and records videos at 120 fps in DivX format. The camera does not have any lens cover. The phone features a 3-inch 256K color TFT screen, which is really good for viewing videos and photos. The body has metallic coating which offsets the black body. It has a 100 MB internal memory and supports microSD card. Viewty comes bundled with Google and You Tube apps. The phone supports IMAP4 and POP3. On the connectivity side it supports EDGE, 3G and HSDPA, but there is no WiFi support.
An external stylus that can be attached to the phone comes with the package. Viewty also has TV out feature, so that one can watch photos and videos on TV.
Verdict: LG Viewty has great feature and a good screen. The problem with KU990 is that it does not excel in any areas. Viewty is priced at Rs 21500/- and at this price Viewty is very costly, in case you need 5MP camera there are other models like Sony Ericsson K850i which has better camera.
No WiFi? Then what’s the point in having all those extras?

Well it has one of the biggest screens, bigger than N95. The keypad what you see in the screen is a virtual one.

oh, I see, I was thinking why LG came up with such a small screen.
Camera specs look very impressive on this one. But as mentioned ealier a phone of this quality and price should have a WiFi. I agree K850 is much better than this one overall.
Hello, this phone is in my heart I`ll buy it after 2 weeks. and all I want to say is it is perfect. Wifi I can`t use in my town but the camera in the phone is perfect and I can use it everywhere.
