And also remember when N95 8GB was just about to be launched it was priced somewhere around 1000$, but when actually available, it was much cheaper than that price.

I have seen lots of videos showing Xperia at MWC. One guy who was displaying ( obviously from sony ) the phone refused to comment on the price and said that its targeted to premium audience and they dont expect it to be a best seller. Talking about premium audience , I do believe price must range from 1000 to 1500 $ initially and then within 6 month will drop to the real actual price.
