Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is one of the most awaited products of 2008. There has been lot of rumors that XPERIA will be released only in 2009, but Sony Ericsson has confirmed that its on target and will be released later this year. Although Sony Ericsson has not revealed the actual price of XPERIA, few sites have started the pre-order of XPERIA X1.

I think that if they are gonna compete with iPhone then they’d price it close to iPhone if not lower than that. So could be around $650 I guess.

what a co-incidence, I was also planning to post this news :D. I have seen lots of videos showing Xperia at MWC. One guy who was displaying ( obviously from sony ) the phone refused to comment on the price and said that its targeted to premium audience and they dont expect it to be a best seller. Talking about premium audience , I do believe price must range from 1000 to 1500 $ initially and then within 6 month will drop to the real actual price.
I have the feeling that its gonna be a costly buy

I think it should be cheaper than N95, but could be even higher.

I stongly dont believe it will be in 1000-1500 range, but lets wait and see what SE has in for us.
And also remember when N95 8GB was just about to be launched it was priced somewhere around 1000$, but when actually available, it was much cheaper than that price.

heheheh .. n95 8 gb when launched in dubai was 2250 dirhams ..and now its 2450 - 2500 AED …
in Dubai its gone costly ..

When it was actually launched it was priced around 29k in India, less than the pre-order price.
