Windows Vista SP1 will be officially available for download in March 18 on Microsoft’s download site. The SP1 will be available through Windows Update only by April. There is already lot of discussions on the SP1 for Vista. The download size of SP1 is huge, around 400MB.
Meanwhile Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 7 (Vista’s successor) will be available in 2010. Microsoft has said that Windows 7 was part of a 3 year cycle and now its clear that this 3 year cycle started when Vista was made available to consumers.

So we can expect Windows 7 in early 2010, Vista was released in Jan 2007 to consumers.

I really want to see if Vista SP1 would be able to give a new life to memory hungry Vista.
I think it will be no easy task for MS to ship it in early 2010 considering their past record.
