Windows Live FolderShare Beta for PC to PC Sync
Microsoft’s FolderShare (which was acquired in 2005) is now available on Windows Live. Windows Live FolderShare is a service that lets users sign-in to set up Libraries that consist of folders on multiple PCs. These Libraries are synced using the Windows Live FolderShare client that sits on each PC. Users can have multiple Libraries setup as well as Shared Libraries with friends.

With Windows Live FolderShare, you can share files easily and quickly from any location, if you have a good speed internet connection. Lot depends on the speed of connection as sync takes time if the Internet connection is slow. I tried out this service and found to be quite useful to share files.
I was able to access files on my friend’s PC located in US with ease. Since we both had a fast Internet connection, sharing and downloading was also very fast.

Features are;
- Improved usability with the Windows Live FolderShare website – UI similar to Windows Live services.
- Updated Windows Live FolderShare Client.
- Back-end improvements.
- Full Windows Vista support with updated Windows Live FolderShare Client.
Try FolderShare

Are you in US or are you saying that when you were in US (I don’t know when…although). Anyway, Foldershare is a nice service, however, few people have suggested that it doesn’t work perfectly and has lots of bugs
@Mayank,
I accessed the PC in US from India with ease. FolderShare is still in beta, so may have bugs, but definitely a good software.
It will definitely be very useful under many scenarios. I think bugs will be kinked out as the time passes.
@Jawwad,
The bugs will definitely go once its out of beta.
Microsoft always suck at BETAs! I’ll give it a try when the full versions comes out.
It’s beta, so I expect a lot of bugs; I’d rather wait for the stable version.
the microsoft betas are not nica. have got any bus, waiting for stable ..
I will jump onto Google Betas all day long, but am always rather cautious of Microsoft ones – I’m also not convinced by the Windows Live brand – it just doesn’t say much to me, maybe it’s just the design of the brand or something, but it just reminds me of Windows Messenger the pre-installed version of MSN that I never used because I’d install the proper MSN Messenger.
