Few Interesting Blog Statistics
Weblogs (blogs) are the latest medium to express our thoughts and views, be it from any area- technology, travel, news, food, photos, videos and now it has because a source of income for many.
I came across few these interesting stats regarding blogs;
- Blogging from came to the web in 1994 when Justin Hall created what is called the first blog ever- links.net which was a daily log of his life.
- In 1999, Pyro labs launched Blogger (now owned by Google) as a free platform for blogging.
- A Google search for blog yields 1460000000 results which shows the popularity of blogging.
- There are around 400000 bloggers in India
- It’s estimated that around $500 million is generated by top 50000 blogs.
- Every hour 16000 blog posts are published and an average of 400000 posts a day.

400000 indian bloggers and 400000 blog posts are surprising to everyone here…but i am not sure on how many of those 400000 network…hope this grows everyday….cheers to the blogging community…let us grow bigger…

wow, 400000 indian bloggers. i noticed that most of the indian bloggers were blogging about technology related.
p/s: ermm, nirmal i noticed before this your feedburner readers were about ~750, but why now just ~395. i also noticed about this on the other blog. for example sizlopedia, technabob etc.. something wrong:???:

Yea most of the Indian bloggers are Tech bloggers.
I too noticed the feedburner thing in many sites, I think its the problem with their count.

400,000 posts per day. I think many of them will be just by sploggers. No numbers on sploggers though !!! Hey that 500million is monthly or yearly… If its yearly then its too less.. as it comes to $1k monthly
