The Wordpress dashboard or the control panel has all the functionality and is simple to use. But you may get bored with the default theme of dashboard. The Wordpress control panel theme can be changed with the help of Admin themes. Here is a list of top plugins to change the layout and visual design of the default Wordpress administration area.

Nice list. I used Tiger for some a while back. But I went back to the default design – some plugins don’t work well with these themes.

Pretty cool themes out there. Never tried any of these. WP Tiger Administration seems to be best of those. Going to give it a try right now….

WP tiger Admin is the best one of the lot with support for latest version of Wordpress.
All this time I’ve been using the default theme but these admin themes look too good to resist. You’ve convinced me to try them out haha. Thanks buddy

Even I too was using default theme for long time. The only problem with these themes are that they support only in Firefox and Safari.

I also happen to know about the WP Tiger only but Nirmal what do you mean by that they work only in Safari and Firefox. If these are browser dependent and not work in IE?

These themes wont work in IE or other browsers except Firefox and Safari as they are not CSS2 compliant.
very nice themes but I am also worried about plugins not working properly as pointed out by Binny…but how how are dashboard themes related to plugins?
Looks cool…but I am just waiting for Wordpress 2.5 and I loved the interface which I saw in the demo site…

I’m not sure how plugins will have problems when this is installed. But this will work only in Firefox and Safari.

Thanks for compiling this list. I’d only heard of and used Tiger Admin. Which for some time now seems to has a display issue at the bottom of the admin interface… the footer floats up too high. So I was looking for something that is not broken in this way… perhaps in your list I have found the answer.
