Firefox 3 Beta 3 version will be available for download later today. This new version has improved OS-specific themes and a new bookmark and history manager. Users can see new set of icons and a new toolbar layout. So this beta version is more of a Visual Refresh. Mozilla Links has posted about the complete set of features available in this version.

Another good feature added is that when you try to close multiple tabs or close a browser session with multiple tabs open, Firefox will ask if you want to save your session. Right now, you can only save a session if Firefox crashes.

The download of Beta 3 version is not available as of now, but can be downloaded from the beta downloads page once it is available.

    Thanks for the heads up Nirmal. Looking forward to downloading the new version and I am interested in the OS integration like improved print options in Linux.

    Here’s a toast to hoping that next versions of Firefox will be lighter and getting rid of useless ‘features’ like caching hundreds of previously visited pages :D

    I am eagerly waiting for FF3 final version. Any idea on that?

    @Ashfame,
    Not sure when the final version will be out, there are still lots of issues to be solved.

    Blatantly false. Feature has existed in FF2 for a while.
    Go to Tools –> Options –> Main tab
    Under “When Firefox starts:” choose “Show my windows and tabs from last time.”

    Although most people don’t know about this feature and having a dialogue box certainly gives it more visibility, it certainly is not a new feature in any respect.

    Its been reported that the memory usage have been reduced in FF3
