One of the new addition to the Walkman series from Sony Ericsson is the W910i. W910i has new features like the SensME and “Shake it” technology which makes music lovers busy and happy. Few notable features of W910i are the inclusion of HSDPA connectivity and large 2.4 in screen and a new multimedia menu.

Design:
The slider W910i is smooth and thin and feels solid. The five way navigational keypad is smooth as keypad is soft as well. So typing, messaging and emailing are pretty comfortable tasks. The W910i has a matte finish and available in 2 colors- black and red. The design definitely looks good.
Features:
The Walkman and media interface is completely redesigned and is similar to K850i. The accelerometer auto rotates between landscape and portrait mode. The music has pretty good options as well and the phone has ability to edit photos, music and videos. Connectivity-wise, the W910i is quite capable. The quadband handset supports HSDPA for high-speed downloads, a good feature to have if listening to or buying tunes over-the-air appeals to you. A front-facing camera above the phone’s 2.4-inch LCD is for video calls. SensME is a new feature which can create playlist based on the moods & tempo using track meta data. The tracks are plotted on graph based on sad and happy emotions. Another feature is the “Shake it”, by which you can skip tracks. To do this press the Walkman button and flick the handset to left for previous track and right for next track. W910i also has PlayNow feature which allows you to download tracks.
Camera:
W910i features a 2MP camera with 2.5x digital zoom. This os one place where W910i disappoints. For a phone of this range, there should have been at least a 3.5 MP camera. The camera lacks auto focus and flash. The video recording is poor as well.
Other features;
- Bluetooth & A2DP support
- USB connectivity, 3G
- 32MB memory and 1 GB external M2 card
- HSDPA connectivity
- 350 hrs standby time and 3.5 hours on 3G network.
Final Thoughts:
W910i is a good phone based on looks and decent features. Best part of W910 is the large screen. The camera is one place which lets down the W910i. The price of W910 is around 17000/- and for this price and features its a bit over priced. W910i is not the best of phones to buy, but if you are music lover, W910i will definitely attract you.
