InstaSaver is a website to create screensavers online in just 3 steps. InstaSaver enables you to instantly create Animated Slideshow Screensavers online. Creating a screensaver is very simple.
1. Step 1: Specify a name for the screen saver.
2. Step 2: Upload photos: Here you can either upload photos from your computer or get photos from Flickr.
3. Step 3: Specify slideshow settings: Here you specify the slideshow, add a watermark, set the speed and also the background image.
Once you click done, you get a standalone screensaver which is an installable. This installable will automatically install the screensaver on the user’s computer and activate it.
There is a feature in XP itself, which will run all photos in a specified folder (My Pictures) as a screensaver. But, I dont think so, creating an executable from that screensaver is available in XP.

You are right, you can create screensaver in XP, but cannot create an exe of the screensaver. With this service you can share the screensaver with your friends.
I hardly ever use a screensaver, I simply switch off the monitor when I am not using it.. This sounds interesting though! thanks for sharing
