8GB 256-bit AES Hardware Encryption USB Drive from Kingston
With 2GB and 4GB USB drives being common and if you are still falling short of memory, here is the secure 8GB USB drive from Kingston. The Kingston 8GB data traveler is enabled with Secure Privacy edition software which is one of the unique features of this USB drive.
This is claimed to be the world’s first USB Flash drive that secures 100 percent of data on-the-fly via 256-bit hardware-based AES encryption. It is specifically designed to meet enterprise-level security and compliance requirements, the DTSP (Data Traveler Secure Privacy) is ideal for organizations looking for an efficient, cost-effective method of securing data.

Features of this model are;
- 256 bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) hardware-based encryption.
- Good speed of read/write.
- Strong password protection.
- No application installation by user
- Water proof material.
- Password is needed to make the drive available in My Computer page.
- 3 unsuccessful attempts to login will lock the drive (can be used again with formating).
Features wise its far superior to other models in the market with same capacity. Now coming to the price, 8GB DTSP edition is priced near to 12000/-INR (1INR= 39USD). At this price, its definitely expensive especially when 8GB normal drives are available for under 5ooo/-

12K
with that money i would buy more than twelve 2 gb kingston pendrives.
I will wait for the price to come down…and it will sure come down a lot soon…
@Shashank,
12k is definitely expensive, but for people who want to carry sensitive data, then this is the best way.
@Rajesh,
Even I’m waiting for it.
Too darn costly!!
If the drive locks after 3 unsuccessful logins by some data thief, why should we format and lose all data?
@Vijay,
The concept is like this, if any one steals your drive, then data should not be accessible.
