How to do Blogging With Flock Browser

Flock is a great browser which is build on Firefox platform and which has all the features of Firefox and consumes less memory also. Apart from the basic features of Firefox, Flock has other features like in-build blogging, photo sharing etc.

This is a small tutorial on how to do blogging with Flock.

Step1: Navigate to Tools->Accounts and Services menu. Once you click this menu, you get a left sidebar on your browser which has a sub menu Blogging.

Step2: Flock supports a host of blogging services. Please select the service where your blog is hosted. Select self hosted blog, if you have your own hosting.

Step3: Once you select self hosted blog, you need to specify the url of your blog.

Step4: Next step is to enter the username and password of your blog and click finish. Your blog will be detected.

Once your blog is detected then it will appear in the accounts sidebar.

Step5: To start composing your post, click on the leaf like icon on the toolbar which says “Open Blog Editor”. Once you finish composing the post, hit publish and it will appear on your blog.

Although the blog editor has less features compared to Windows live writer or other softwares, the best thing is that no need to install any other software.

  1. I remember i saw one addon for firefox for blogging. That was good too, But need to see this feature as well, to see which one has more features and which one works better. :cool:

  2. well, I flock is a good social browser but I’ll stick with firefox for browsing and WLW for blogging.

  8. Flock is very nice for social bookmarking purposes. But the blog editor seems a bit light for me. I am sticking with Blogdesk!
