Keyboard plays a very important role in your blogging. It’s true that the standard keyboard does support us in some way. But it will give you no other then the ordinary feeling while typing your thousand of words everyday.
Instead of letting your feeling settle down on a ‘ordinary stage’. Why don’t you try to make it more flourish using some more advance keyboards?

A keyboard that is design especially for improving your productivity will cost more of course. But I think it worth the price if you practically could type longer and better then the old one.
For my personal use, a keyboard like Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000 could give you a different pressure on your hand and the nice curve design to support your hand’s natural bend shape.
Another keyboard that is quite handy is the Logitech Cordless Desktop EX110. It is especially made for wireless environment. If you have a large display or may be you are blogging with a projector, this suite of wireless keyboard and mouse might suitable for you to do blogging far away from the desktop while you are sitting comfortably on your sofa.
For the basic selection of keyboard, these following tips may be able to help you find out what is the standard of comfortable keyboard:
- Appearance of the keyboard
- The pressure of each key
- The height of each key
- The hot buttons
- The durability
- The curve
- The sound
Appearance of the keyboard is as same as your blog theme design. I know it’s completely strange to compare it with that, but if you find out that your keyboard is looking ‘ordinary’, there will be a sort of mental or belief system corruption unconsciously.
The pressure and height is also one of the core values that you should observe carefully. If the pressure is it hard, you finger will fatigue faster and if the button is too height, you will likely to type slower.
Hot button also help a lot when blogging. There is a chance that you will feel ‘sudden’ and need to open a browser, or may be want to search for something immediately without touching the mouse. A hot button like an instant web browser launcher and search button is helpful sometimes.
Next is the Durability. Most of the keyboards nowadays have their own durability. Some will have the estimation of 1 million hits or more. Make sure to find one that has the maximum durability for the price. Although it’s just estimation, it will help you save money in the future.
The last one is Curve and the Sound. Never underestimate these two points just because I put it at the last. Curve keyboard ensure comfort finger landing and sound will ease your ear on every time you punch the keys.
Some keyboards are likely to sound louder each time you type an alphabets. Could you handle it if you need to type hundred thousands of alphabets while you need to focus on your writing?
Some people actually love to working on a silent environment. So, it’s best for you to do some little research for yourself before buying a comfortable keyboard.
I think being relaxed and comfortable while blogging is a big help for my mind to blog better. I cannot do things while I’m in a ‘high tension mode’. Key to comfortable blogging is about choosing the right equipment for you to use when blogging. Make sure what you do now is actually make you feel comfortable. If not, stop it right away!

I find Laptop’s keyboard better than Desktops one, atleast the normal ones we use.
guess, whatever may be the keyboard, speed(productivity!!??) would depend upon how long you were using a a particular keyboard and how comfortable you have become using it…
@Ashwin,
Sometimes laptop keyboard are better than desktops, if you are accustomed to it.
