I have been a huge fan of Adobe AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime) which uses HTML, AJAX, Flash and Flex to deliver rich content to the user’s desktop and mind you it is really enticing to have AIR and the applications that are created for them on your desktop. I am really hooked onto some of the applications that I use with Adobe AIR and here are the top 15 that I would recommend to you.
Before you can start using the applications please make sure you download the Adobe AIR first which is key to running the applications.
- Google Analytics AIR Beta: I have been using the Google Analytics AIR application for quite some time and am impressed with it. It is an AIR application which allows you to view all your Google Analytics reports from your desktop. Few of the things I liked about it are it allows you to track multiple profiles from multiple Google Accounts. The UI is super cool that is what Adobe is famous for anyway. User Interface and design gets a heads up on this application. Unfortunately the developer has closed invitations but you can still find some hope by emailing the developer.

With Tweetr you can now follow all your friends from your desktop. Tweetr shows you updates from friends and allows you to send updates to them from within the desktop application. If you are a twitter fan then this will make your twitter experience faster and more easier. Link: Tweetr
- AirTalkr: AirTalkr is a multi platform IM client that connects to Gtalk, MSN, Yahoo!, AIM, ICQ as well as to Flickr and YouTube. To make it more enticing the AirTalkr works on Windows, Linux and OSX. If you are fed up of having multiple messenger softwares to chat with your buddies on different networks then AirTalkr is a good alternative. Link: AirTalkr
- Pownce Desktop Client: Pownce Desktop Client is for all those who use the social networking Pownce. Here is an AIR desktop client which will allow you to send and receive notes to and from your Pownce friends. Pownce Desktop Client works on both Windows as well as Mac. Pownce desktop client sports a look just like a regular IM client. It allows you to post a message, link, file and event directly from your desktop. It also shows you latest messages posted by your friends through the AIR Client. If you are a heavy pownce user you should definitely try this out as it will help you save a lot of time. - AirPress: AirPress is an AIR alternative to desktop applications that are used for posting to your WordPress blog, the features are similar to your regular Desktop blogging client. AirPress sports a cool look and a neat looking interface which can cheer up your blogging. AirPress is only supported on WordPress 2.2 and above.
- Mini Digg: Mini Digg is a AIR application for the king of social news networking. The Digg mini client brings the latest news from Digg to your desktop. It also allows you to store the stories to your computer. Link: Mini Digg

I could not get Airtalkr working. Analytics Reporting suite is also a lil buggy right now. And AIR iPhone sucks a big time. Hope to see better versions in the near future.
