Linux Mint is a version of Linux which is based on Ubuntu and has a better look. The major difference between Ubuntu and Linux Mint is the looks, Linux Mint sports a cool blue look compared to Ubuntu’s brown theme.

One of the best things about Linux Mint is that it supports all the multimedia formats. The support for multimedia is built in and it supports You Tube videos, Windows media files, encoded DVDs, Quick time formats.
Mint also comes with Sun Java installed and by default its available for Firefox browser. Mint also supports all softwares which can be installed on Ubuntu.

Mint also ships in with all the preferences and features of Ubuntu with a fresh look of blue. Try out the minty fresh look Linux.

Nirmal,
This looks pretty cool although my favorite green is from openSuse 10.3! I am loving it and is primary desktop at work!
Off topic, your Google Ad below the title (square) and the WWSGD WP plugin for first timers are overlapping. I have to check mine to see if this is happening. Maybe moving the WWSGD message to appear at the bottom of the post might work. In fact, a pitch to subscribe might be better after they have read the post.

Looks refreshing like a mint, I prefer Ubunutu though and use it as a dual boot, but will try this out on a test machine soon.

This looks real soothing to eyes. Now I have to find some more space in my HDD to install this stuff and see.
Keith is right that University update is a splogger.

Ubuntu is user friendly, but I am not a fan of its brown color. Now that a blue version is available, I’ll take it for a spin.
One Q, is it developed independently or by Canonical itself(makers of Ubuntu)?
