New Version of Gmail- Gmail 2.0?

ADVERTISEMENTS

Google Blogoscoped has reported about a new version of Gmail coming up. The blog has also published the images of the new version which has a better contacts manager and a faster interface.

The blog reports that the new version was available as a link on the top right corner of Gmail, where the settings link is placed. But I could not see any link in my Gmail account, may be its available only to few selected users.

Another feature mentioned is the ability to pick photos for contacts directly from Picasa instead on searching from the hard disk.

The blog has also provided link to the new version, but I could not see any changes in the mail box.

  5. I know it’ll be good, at the same time, I’m afraid it’ll be slower because of prefetching of messages.

We’ll have to wait and see.

  6. I still use Gmail for my personal mail ..
    hope they release it soon

  7. I’m excited for the Gmail update! I think prefetching will actually speed it up, not slow it down.

I guess we’ll see though. I don’t have access to the new features on my account yet.

  16. @Nirmal and Brown…

doesn’t labels serve the purpose…it is as good as folders…Why should we worry whether the mails are in different folders as long as they can be identified with labels??
