Blogger Adds Subscribe to Comments by Email
Google seems to have started improving the free blogging platform- Blogger. Yesterday they have implemented Subscribe to Comments by Email functionality in blogger. The comment subscription feature allows readers of a blog to receive an email each time a comment is made to a particular post. You can subscribe to a post’s comments by clicking the “Email” link next to “Subscribe to comments” on the post page.
In order to subscribe to comments, you need to log in to Google account. Comments are sent only to verified Google Account so that someone else can’t use this feature to send you email you didn’t sign up for.
If you want to unsubscribe to a comments, just click the unsubscribe button and confirm the action. Subscriptions to comments are per post basis.
This is definitely a good move my Google to improve blogger. Another thing which need improvement in blogger is the commenting form. Hope that Google has some new features for that too.

Yes, blogger is getting better and better everyday. I think they should pay more attention to the original templates. They are all old fashioned.They demand many modifications and alterations before each and every use which is very troublesome.

One thing good about Blogger is that they allow template editing unlike the free version of Wordpress. Good to see that it supports Ajax as well.

Its good to see Google is still improving Blogger. If they devoted any real time to Blogger, I think they could compete pretty well with WordPress and Typepad.
Anyway, I digress. This is a huge improvement for Blogger. They next thing I would like to see is Blogger revamp how comments work.

I’ve noticed at least for myself that my email box has been clogged up with notifications fro follow up comments that I checked off on numerous posts!
It’s nice for a few posts that are really interesting, but otherwise it ends up being like spam almost!

There was a time when my mailbox also used to flood with email subscriptions, nowadays I’m very particular with the subscriptions.

This is a useful feature, seems like Google is getting to the competition. But it is difficult to beat wordpress.com
