No Trackbacks on this Blog!

I’m faced with a problem for past 2-3 weeks, this blog is not getting any trackbacks from other blogs in comments section.  I have enabled trackbacks and pingbacks in the discussion tab in options. The last trackback I got was on 5th Sep 2007.

I checked all other settings and could find anything suspicious in the code. I have not made any changes in the theme. I had only installed a single plugin recently, which was the Manage Multiple blogs by Keith.

If anyone has faced such a situation before, need your help in solving this out.

    Maybe ones tracking your posts should have activated them ping-back, trackback, whatever …

    Did you got one very recently ( :roll: ) ?

  2. Jake says:

    1) Bloggers may not have trackbacks enabled on their posts.

    2) Their blog software may not support them. (ala Drupal)

    My theme is optimized for trackbacks and pingbacks, but they don’t display. I was told it has something to do with my WordPress install and so I’ve never really had them or been able to fix it.

    @Valentin,
    I was getting trackbacks from these blogs previously, but it stopped now.

    @Jake,
    If bloggers doesnot have trackbacks enabled on their blogs, how was I getting it before. I do not think everyone would have disabled it together. :smile:

    @Kyle,
    I too strongly think it has some thing to do with Wordpress installation. Some plugin has done the damage. :cry:

    May be becoz of the recently enabled plugin, try to disable that plugin and see if that helps.

  6. Dj Flush says:

    Ok it may sound that I am talking absurd but any chance that the trackbacks are being caught in spam :) ?

  7. Vaibhav says:

    Hey Nirmal, i was amazed to see 5 trackback links within last 8 days, :shock: , But you are not getting these, seems like you are not getting something write :sad:

    @Ram,
    I tried disabling the plugin, but no help with that.

    @DJ,
    Its not getting caught in spam, I clear spam daily after checking. :cry:

  9. Haris says:

    Disable the plugin for a few days, then see. I have never come across such a problem so I’m not sure this would work.

  10. SL Lindens says:

    try to disbale the plugin you recently install. It may be the thing that created the trouble.

    Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. Hope everything is fine now. May be your wordpress is being hacked??! :shock:

    Oh… I had a similar issue, but it was a issue with my theme. I was able to fix it with a line in my header.php.
