Today Life Rocks! 2.0 turns 6 months old. This blog was started on March 16 2007 and it has been a glorious 6 months journey in blogging. This blog moved to own domain in March 2007 after being hosted in Blogger domain for 1.5 years. Until March, this was purely a personal blog and once I moved to own domain, I started to cover a variety of topics including Technology, Blogging tips, reviews, tutorials, tips and tricks and all the latest news in Internet. Last month Life Rocks! 2.0 hit the 100k page views mark and the response has been tremendous.
Here are few achievement in the past 6 months:
- Crossed 100k page view last month
- Alexa Rank of 51000, although there is lot of discussion about Alexa Ranking system being not being accurate, everyone likes to get a good rank!
- Technorati Rank of 8500, this blog is listed in Top 10k blogs.
- Page Rank of 4, waiting for the next PR update. Looks like its being delayed for some reasons.
- Around 350 RSS and Email subscribers.
- This blog has around 340 posts and over 3000 comments. Reader response has been really good.
- Life Rocks! 2.0 had used 2 other themes before I made this theme exclusively for my blog.
Like every blogger who has ambitions to become more popular, here are the goals I have set for next 6 months;
- Double the RSS subscriber count.
- A PR of 6, am I over ambitious?
- Release a Wordpress theme for public Download. This is one goal I’m seriously looking into in the past 2 months, but due to work pressure, I was not able to concentrate much.
- Hold a contest or a group writing project.
I thank all the readers who have supported me with this blog and expressed their views and comments. I had the opportunity to meet new people, interact with them and make friends. It has been a eventful 6 months of blogging. Hoping to see your support in the future too.

guess one more reason for you getting more comments is because you have the “Notify me of follow up comments via e-mail” unchecked by default.
In most others this is checked and it is annoying to see the inbox flooded.
