Windows Live Installer Launching this Week

Microsoft is planning to release an unified optional installer which will have access to most of the Windows Live services including mail, messenger, Live writer etc.

The software release will offer PC users the option of downloading a set of the services with a single Unified Installer program, or as separate components. The individual services are Windows Live Photo Gallery, Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Messenger 8.5 and Windows Live One Care Family Safety, a computer security program. The release also includes the Windows Live Writer blogging application.

Microsoft’s recently introduced Live Folders (Skydrive) and FolderShare are not included in the pack.

    aha! big competition to Google pack! lets see how they do. Google pack has got good options and I’m sure microsoft will have tough time, but the way they are improving will rock things up :)

    Yes, it could give competition to Google Pack. Microsoft may bring in more features added in future. :smile:

    Microsoft is trying to hit back Google, any way competition is good for us. It is useful for us to have all in one installer
