Life Rocks! 2.0 is 2 months old-Few Updates
It was exactly 2 months ago, I moved my blog to this new domain. When I read many articles on the freedom of having own domain, I too wanted to experience this and went on to purchase a new domain.
When I started blogging in Oct 2005, I didn’t know much about blogs. I just started it for expressing my thoughts and Life. So initially my blog was completely a personal one and it
was hosted in blogger. In the past 5-6 months I came across more and more Tech blogs, which almost rule the blogosphere. 
But I feel its not always necessary to have a tech blog to be successful blogger Some of the most popular blogs are also non-technical. As everyone say-”Content is the King”. I decided to have a combination of all-Technology, Internet, Blogging, Reviews, Life and my Thoughts.
Although in the past 2 months, I have mainly concentrated on Internet, Blogging and Technology, I plan to write more on other related areas and about interesting stuffs. Now coming to what I achieved in this 2 months span;
- Page Rank of 4- This blog got a PR4 within 45 days. Some point that its not that difficult to get a PR4, but still I’m happy and targeting for a min PR5 in the next update.
- Technorati Rank of 17248 . There as been lot of debate on the Technorati ranking system. Whether good or bad, I love getting a good rank.
- Alexa rank of 154518 which I feel is a good achievement, again there has been lot of debate on Alexa ranking, which I’m not going to think of right now. I got good number of hits during the past 2 months and also hits from Google search.
Currently this blog has 220 posts and over 700 comments. I was really overwhelmed by the response I got for this new blog. I thank all the readers who have supported me with this blog and expressed their comments. I had the opportunity to meet new people, interact with them and make friends. It has been a eventful 2 months of blogging. Special thanks to Mr.Byte from Lytebyte who helped me in getting the domain and hosting space and also with the installation.
Blog Updates: I have installed the Link Love Plugin and it will give you a link back once you have commented for a particular number of times (set to 8). I have added Top commentator plugin which will get reset weekly. I have also started a new posting for every Wednesday, where I’ll list out posts from the blogs which I read and also blogs from the top commentators list.

Great going man. What about the RSS Subscribers?
I still remember, when I left from Chennai to Dubai, my blog’s Alexa rank was 800k. After 8 months it’s 118k. Technorati rank was 79k 2-3 months back, now also it’s 79k. PR was 5 and now it’s a PR 4 blog. Seeing that, this is really good.

Thanks for the comments. RSS readers is one area I’m trying to improve. I have taken some steps to improve this. Hoping it will show some results.

Congrats the achievements is such a short period of time. Mutual cooperation among bloggers is increase and this is a healthy sign. There was no such thing when i started in August last year.
