Firefox Addon: Speed Dial Websites in Firefox
Speed Dial is a Firefox add-on which will allow to easily access your most used websites. It works similar to the speed dial functionality in Mobile phones. The add-on is very simple to use. Download and install the add-on. Once you have installed, your Firefox toolbar shows the speed dial icons. Click the icon with + symbol to add a new website to the speed dial.
Speed Dials can also be set using the “Set as Speed Dial” option in the bookmarks menu, or right click on the tab you want to add, and choose “Set as Speed Dial”. That option is also available in the contextual area menu.
You can view thumbnails of all the websites you have added as speed dial option. To view this click on the icon “Open a new tab with Speed Dial”. A new tab with all the websites set as speed dial is shown. A maximum of 9 speed dials can be assigned.
Speed Dial will be automatically loaded in blank new windows. It can also be set to load in blank new tabs. To configure this, and other options, use the extension settings panel.
You can download this extension from here. Although we can bookmark most visited websites, still I feel this is a pretty useful add-on, so why not give it a try? ![]()
