I think, it won’t compete with Meebo, as it is a multi-protocol web messenger. However, I bet a lot of Yahoo fans will love this.

Sooner or later, they’ll come up with Gadget like the one for Google Talk

I don’t see meebo having any problems with this. its nice that the providers are (finally) providing this, but where else are you going to get the convenience of all those services in one place?

Meebo will have great competition now as most of the msger services have their own web messengers now.

Aah! Cool but to me, the preference is still on meebo. Using these company web messengers is no good for those guys who have heavy talks like me, I want something which can save those chat logs which these company web messengers don’t provide. MSN Web messenger provides this service but for only 1 week whereas meebo acc. saves all those logs for life!
