Too much of Spam!

Advertisements

SpamOf late I have been getting too much of spam comments on my blog. Thanks to Akismet, for catching all the spam comments. I was monitoring these spam comments and found that all the spam comments I got recently where posted for the same post. This was my post on “10 Minutes Mail” and was wondering if the spammers had something to do with this post or are they selecting a random post and spamming?
My YahooMail also has been sending many of my mails to spam folder. I had already posted this problem. Yesterday I found mails from Gmail ID, Microsoft customer support, few of the Feedblitz subscriptions and also mails from the contact page in my blog in the spam folder. Another Yahoo service, MyBlogLog’s mails (few of them) were also sent to spam. Just for fun, I sent a mail from my Yahoo Id to myself and to my surprise that mail also went spam!
No SpamI think its time Yahoo make their spam filter better. I’m slowly stopping the usage of Yahoomail and currently I’m using the Gmail and Windows Live Mail configured for my domain using the steps given by Mr. Byte.

This really surprises me as I have been using Yahoo for almost 7 years. maybe in the beginning I found correct mails in my spam folder….but now I hardly find any correct mail going to spam folder. It also filters spam perfectly for me…As far as Gmail id, Feedblitz subscription, Microsoft customer support…I have received all in my inbox….Regarding the mails from your contact page you have to train the spam filter for 4 or 5 mails, after that it will recognize as correct mail. This happens cos the mails from contact page are system generated. I started using Custom Domain Live mail in order to segregate my personal mails from my blog related mails.
