244 Copies of Vista Sold in China
ADVERTISEMENTS
Microsoft sold a whopping 244 genuine copies of Windows Vista in China during its first two weeks of availability. Reports say that Microsoft has sold some 20 million copies of the Vista globally in its first month of availability.
Does this mean that China is not favoring Vista or Microsoft operating systems. It is also estimated that there is a lot of piracy happening in China. Reports say that Microsoft has spend millions of dollars for advertising Vista.
With pirated copies of Vista available throughout the country for as little as $1, Microsoft will have a tough time selling the original ones. ![]()

I don’t think most Chinese people want buy genuine copies of Windows Vista, I don’t think they can afford that high price. Do you know how much most Chinese people have income a month? In other way, why do they must upgrade their old Windows version if they still use old PC? If they want new version they can buy new PC with Windows Vista or free upgrade, the price is reasonable. As I know, in China you can buy anything fake products, and it works.

Living Online,
I have heard about income in China. This may be the reason for more piracy also.
