Google has added a new feature to Orkut, Community Polls. 
Now all Orkut users can create and post polls in any community that they are a member of. The poll options can have pictures also which can be added while creating a poll. A poll once created can only be deleted and not edited and also owners or moderators can delete the polls.
Users can vote for a particular poll depending upon whether the poll is allowed for all users or only for the community members. Users can also choose to have their votes public or anonymous.
Great!, but I personally feel that unless the give an option to subscribe for updates via email or RSS feeds, communities in orkut are of no real importance.
Polls in orkut. Great. I hardly use orkut because I feel it is useless. Anyways it is good for orkut freaks! As Thilak told, or orkut should start RSS feeds because without it we have to open our browser and go to orkut every time. It’s a lengthy process. Only those freaks can do it. So Nirmal are you an orkut freak?

Now this is a good thing for communities , hope they give us an option to change the layout of our profile , that will also be great .

Its one of the features I have been waiting for in Orkut, changing profile layouts…hope it comes soon..
