Yahoo has announced that starting from May 2007, they will be offering everyone unlimited email storage.
When Yahoo! Mail launched 10 years ago, users got a whopping 4MB of storage for their entire mailbox. Yahoo Mail is also celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Recently I had discussed about Rediffmail offering unlimited free storage space. But unlike Rediffmail, which is offering this storage space for photos, videos and mp3, Yahoo says that this space is clearly for e-mail storage and users are not allowed to engage in activities like using Yahoo mail for basic online storage.
Now the question is does one need unlimited storage space just to store e-mails?

Thanks for suggesting my blog to your friend & for the comments. your blog looks great now….can you give me some tips to make my blog better ?
Hey, I like the look and feel of the site. Very nice. If I could make one suggestion, get rid of the pop-ups. No-one likes them and it will hurt you with users coming back time and time again. Just my opinion.
I’m waiting for Google to reciprocate. Yahoo and Rediff, I hate both!
I feel GMail is the best. Yahoo and Rediff can’t make users come back to their site but google can do that. Ads are the main thing.
gmail is the best. plus they never come out with strings to their offer unlike rediff. If yahoo is going unlimited, just watch how gmail will go unlimited-plus.

I agree with you Phalgun and Shekar that Gmail is one of the best mail services.
And as Thilak said, we’ll see how google reciprocates.
