Learning from mistakes
I have been blogging for past 1 and half year and have made many mistakes while blogging. I read lot of blogs and try to find out ways to improve my blog and correct the mistakes which I have made.
One of the mistakes which I did while blogging is opening links in new windows. Initially when I was blogging using Blogger, all links were opened in same window, but when I moved to Wordpress blog, it gave me an extra feature for selecting the target and I always used “Open in new window”.
Recently I read Daily Blog Tips article “Do not open new browser windows” and also few other links listed in that post about the disadvantages of opening links in new browser windows.

After reading these articles, I have corrected this mistake and all links will now open in same window.

Good call, and I’m glad you fixed it. There isn’t much online that’s more annoying that new browser windows being forced upon me. Well, besides the old-school popups, but they’re dying out pretty quickly.

A good way to decide whether such a feature should be thare or not is to ask yourself whether you want it in other sites you are visiting.
The most important thing is learning from the mistakes and we are doing that .

Yeah, links that open in new windows really irritate me like most others. It’s good that you corrected your mistake!
I did that a quite a few times before I realised that wasn’t the thing to do.
I went back and changed them even though that probably wasn’t necessary.
