Here’s good news for Rediffmail users. Rediff is offering unlimited email storage space for free. This is definitely going to give more competition to other players in this area.
Currently the major players like Yahoo, Google and AOL are offering unlimited space only for paid members. So existing and new Rediff users need not worry about deleting mails. They can download videos and songs. Currently there are few players offering unlimited storage space for free and among them are the US based mail2world.com and Korean email services provider DreamWiz. Rediff.com has about 50.66 million user (as of December 31, 2006) – a 23% increase over the corresponding periods figure last year. The company believes the number of hits on the site will increase substantially.
