I see that you like motorcycles too. I like riding also. I've got a Suzuki. I'll let you know when I get some pictures up.

I have a couple of blogs, one is a hosted WordPress blog and the other one resides at WordPress.com. I like WordPress.com blog, but you're right, you are limited to the themes that they give you. You can't customize them too much. I really enjoy the hosted WordPress blog. You can customize it however you like. You have unlimited flexibility with it.

I use Blogger, and unless I get my act together and move to another platform, probably always will.

However, of the two 'blogging platforms, WordPress is the the one with the edge in many ways.

However, what WordPress needs is a gigantic overhaul of the template system, which is an utter shambles.

I'm PHP developer of several years and even I recoil at the mess that is WordPress templates...

Thank you for this review because I have always wondered about the differences of the free version of WordPress and Blogger. I have used Blogger for about four years and see that it is continually improving but can still be frustrating on its unexpected outages and downtime.

Hosted Wordpress is the way to go. There are just so many themes and plugins to choose from and it’s fairly easy to modify.
