Explode is the latest entry into the social networking arena. Explode is a go-anywhere global networking system. It allows anyone to include a distributed friends widget on their site, send these friends comments and keep connected.

Explode is built by UK open-source social network provider Curverider (whose primary product is Elgg). With Explode one can search for a friend using the normal search or browse option or using the tag cloud. The tag clouds are interest area of people and gets updated. Users can get added to the tag cloud using the option in the profile. Once the user selects the tag cloud, the other people with the same interest area are listed under the tag cloud. They can add people to their friend list by clicking this icon and they can also moderate friend requests. Users can also add comments in other users/friends profile using the comments wall. A widget similar to the one myBloglog can be placed in the blog or website to get the traffic details for blogs. Although Explode is still in primary stages and we can expect more features in the coming days and could give stiff competition to now Yahoo owned MyBlogLog !
