With the acquisition of Hutch-Essar by Vodafone with its bid of $19 billion (Rs 85,000 crore), the Value Added Services in Indian Mobile market is all set to change. Vodafone becomes the third largest private operator in India with a market share of 15.5% which is set to increase to 25% by 2010. With this acquisition, the Indian Mobile Savvy customers are the one who are going to benefit.

Vodafone will be planning to introduce variety of Value added services, which includes the Vodafone Live!, which is an entertainment and informative service. There are also other business related services and also paying of bills like telephone, electricity etc through mobile. Other major competitors like Airtel and Reliance have already brought in many Value Added Services. Lets wait and see what Vodafone has in store for Indian customers.
