On Dec 1st, along with my friends, I went to the holy shrine of Lord Ayyappa-Sabarimala. We took a Qualis from Mangalore and left for Sabarimala around 8.30 pm, after all the procedures at the temple in Mangalore. We reached Kozhikode (Calicut) around 2 am and another friend joined us. Around 6.30 in the morning we reached the IBP outlet in Angamally where there was facilities for fresh up and also a decent restaurant.
After fresh up, we had our breakfast and we were waiting for our friends from Bangalore to join us. They reached at around 11 am late by 2 hours. We started our onward journey. By 4.30 pm we reached Pamba, the sacred river at Sabarimala. After taking bath at Pamba, we started climbing the hill around 5pm. There was heavy rush at the shrine as it was weekend. We waited for 2 hours in the queue and finally got Darshan at around 10.45pm, 15 minutes before the close of temple. It was a great experience seeing Lord Ayyappa.
We started our journey downhill by around 1am and reached back to Pamba in 1.5 hours. We started our journey back to Mangalore by 4am and reached Mangalore around 9pm.
