Much has been talked about SRK’s Don which released on Oct 19th. This film is a remake of old superhit BigB starer movie Don made in 1978. The expectations from the new Don were very high, so was SRK’s Don better than the original Don?I saw the movie on the first day of its release and I’m giving my views on Don-The chase begins.
All of us agree to the point that Don (1978) was a great movie, but there was still something lacking in that. The old version gave more importance to Vijay rather than the Don himself, but this movie the focus has been more on Don which was actually needed for that movie. Farhan Akhtar has also included some suspense into this movie. The direction and background music are plus points of the movie, but SRK fails to give the punch while delivering dialogues like “Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi…namumkin hai“. SRK has been good in most of the areas. The songs are also picturised well especially the “Aaj ki raat”. One thing that disappoints in this movie is the choreography of super hit song “Yeh mera dil..pyaar ka”. The song doesnt create the impact which the older version had.
Although most of the reviews have rated it as 2 star(**), i give this new Don a 4 star rating, just because of the direction and way the film is made.

Overall a good movie.
