The much awaited Hrithik Roshan movie of the year, “Krrish” opened in theatres last week. This is the Hrithik movie after a gap of 2 year. Krrish is a sequel to Koi Mil Gaya. It takes up where Koi…..left off. Krishna is born to Rohit and Priti and inherits magical powers from his dad. Rekha, grandmother of Krishna comes to know this and takes him
to a far off place for the fear of the world getting to know about his super powers. Krishna grows up making trees, animals, rivers and mountains as his friends. Priya (Priyanka Chopra) comes to India from Singapore for a 10 day adventure camp. The next half an hour is shot for some humor, showing the talents of Krishna as well.
Priya leaves for Singapore, late by 5 days to find out she’s fired from her job in Star TV. To save her job, her friend brings Krishna to Singapore as super boy. What happens next is Krishna indeed becomes a super boy when he saves kids from a circus fire. Thus Krishna becomes KRRISH.
As time flies, Krrish meets Dr Siddhant Arya, the megalomaniac scientist who is trying to invent a super comp
uter which can predict the future. Krishna finds out from Sharad Saxsena that his father Rohit worked for Dr Arya on this super computer. Lot of drama unfolds in the end and final climax includes the clash between the good Krissh and the evil scientist in the IT major company Dr.Arya !!
A lot of attention is paid to Hrithik’s agile movement. Most scenes are dedicated as a tribute to his arduous workouts in the gym spent cultivating those mind-blowing muscles. The actor brings elegance even in aggressive demonstrations of action with his swiftness. His Krrish faces no trauma, guilt or confusion. Even if he is friendless, not too much emotional time is given to highlight this. His soaring earnestness and intensity makes him the real special effect.
Action sequences are shot brilliantly, but no credit for originality as most of it is borrowed from matrix flicks. The choreography is well executed and Hrithik shines well in
>Krrish neither has the sleek aura nor the deep-rooted ideology of superheroes. What it does have is a super spirited performance from Hrithik Roshan, which is likely to appeal to kids.
The movie fails to deliver especially when the expectations from it were so high. Hrithik Roshan as Krishna has done a brilliant job. Priyanka Chopra has done a decent job as Priya. Naseeruddin Shah gives a good performance although his character is not given the importance it needs. His dialogues are good.
Whether KRRISH is going to be a super hit or not…time can only tell…. If you go with lot of expectations from the movie, you are sure to be disappointed.
